What makes CLEA products work for symptoms related to your menopause journey?

Long before we had scientific explanations for why cannabinoids work for various challenges women face related to their reproductive system, women were using cannabinoids for thousands of years. For menstrual cramps, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause, women from all walks of life (including Queen Victoria), and from all over the world have used cannabinoids for relief from various symptoms.

Our products contain a hemp-derived, whole-plant infusion that includes a full spectrum of cannabinoids. These cannabinoids interact with the CB1 and CB2 receptors of the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is responsible for regulating various body functions.

The three main hemp-derived cannabinoids in our products are CBD, CBG, and CBN with just trace amounts of THC (and always less than 0.3%). These cannabinoids have shown great promise in addressing various symptoms of menopause when used in whole-plant formulations. In fact, research shows that cannabinoids like CBD, CBN, CBG, and THC bind more effectively to these receptors when used together, promoting a balanced effect known as the ‘entourage effect.’ By working in harmony with the ECS, cannabinoids help regulate vital processes and bring the body back to homeostasis.

What are hemp-derived cannabinoids?

Hemp-derived cannabinoids are compounds extracted from the hemp plant, a variety of Cannabis sativa containing no more than 0.3% THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) by dry weight, as defined by the 2018 Farm Bill. These cannabinoids, such as CBD (cannabidiol), CBG (cannabigerol), and CBN (cannabinol), are non-intoxicating and are commonly used for their potential health benefits, including relief from anxiety and sleep disturbances.

The Farm Bill legalized the cultivation, production, and sale of hemp and its derivatives, removing them from the Controlled Substances Act, provided they meet the THC threshold. This legislation opened the door for a wide range of hemp-based wellness products in the U.S. market.

For women going through the menopause transition, CBD, CBG, and CBN offer several potential benefits:

Snapshot:

  • CBD: Relieves pain, eases anxiety, and improves sleep without causing psychoactive effects.
  • CBG: Enhances mental focus and clarity, reducing brain fog, while also supporting bladder health and reducing anxiety. It is non-psychoactive.
  • CBN: Is primarily useful as a sleep aid for those struggling with insomnia, along with providing mild pain relief. It is non-psychoactive unless consumed in large amounts.

These cannabinoids can be used individually or combined in products formulated to address multiple menopause symptoms simultaneously.

Our products have less than 0.3% THC. The presence of this minimal amount of THC provides the benefit of the “entourage effect” without creating any psychoactive effects.

Note: Our products contain hemp-derived cannabinoids that do not produce intoxicating effects.
